In November 2025 I was staying in a hostel in Ahangama, Sri Lanka preparing for my first solo exhibition and surfing all the time. I met a Swiss guy who showed me the instagram of a French photographer he had befriended in Byron Bay, Australia. Her name is Tania Buijtenhuijs (@tania_film) and she is an incredibly talented Ocean & Lifestyle photographer. I looked through her instagram and fell in love with this photo, among many others. I messaged to ask her if I could draw it and she happily obliged. 10% of each sale of these prints goes back to her to credit the creation of the image.

I first saw this photo by Ocean photographer Noe Langronier (@noe.langronier) as a profile picture on instagram. Safe to say it’s my all-time favourite photo ever taken. The photo is of Titouan Bernicot (@toutiess), Founder & CEO of Coral Gardeners, a non-profit organisation dedicated to saving the world’s coral reefs through restoration and awareness. I reached out for permisssion to draw the photo and Noe said yes. This drawing was the first where I used only charcoal: I wanted the depth of tone that made the perspective POP. Its my joint favourite drawing and really captures the viewer. Epic shot, one of a kind.
