Mezcal, 2026

from £75.00

Charcoal, graphite and gold leaf print on Hahnemühle 200g Acid-free matte photo paper

I’d never heard of Mezcal before I moved to Mexico in February 2026. It goes down smoother than tequila… I’ve hence had a few black outs from drinking a little more than I realised. The first studio I rented in Mexico City was owned by a Mexican artist Luis Carrera, and I ended up meeting his cousin who manages a huge factory/workshop on the ground floor where they make event staging and marketing props for a range of big liquor brands. One of these brands is a mezcal company founded by one of Luis’s brothers called San Cosme. They suggested I do a drawing of the bottle, since it has a black and white design. I added gold leaf to a few bits, my first deviation from using only charcoal and graphite.

Limited Edition of 10 and 25, Digitally Signed, Unframed
